Eliza is originally from Sibiu, Romania. She completed her bachelor’s degree at the University of Freiburg, Germany, graduating in 2022. For her bachelor’s thesis, she investigated age-related changes in the intracardiac nervous system. Eliza continued her academic journey in Freiburg, earning a master’s degree in Molecular Medicine in 2025. During her master’s studies, she focused on cardiac regeneration in vitro, specifically examining how small-molecule inhibitors affect different human cardiac cell types. She is now continuing her research in cardiac regeneration using zebrafish as a model organism. Outside the lab, Eliza enjoys playing volleyball, reading, and baking.
