Savita did her bachelor’s in Microbiology and master’s in Life Sciences in India. During her bachelors, she got selected for a research program, as part of Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, a premier research institute in India. Currently, for her PhD studies, she is interested in understanding the role of coronary endothelial cells during the process of cardiac regeneration in zebrafish. Besides research, she enjoys cooking, hiking, traveling and making different artistic customizable gifts; giving a personal touch to them.
