Gülsüm Kayman Kürekçi Ph.D.

Gülsüm is from Brussels, Belgium. After getting her BSc in Biological Sciences from the Free University of Brussels, she moved to Ankara, Turkey to do her MSc and PhD in Medical Biology from Hacettepe University where she studied the genetic basis and molecular pathophysiology of rare muscular dystrophies. In Marin-Juez lab, her postdoctoral research focuses on the role of coronary vessels-derived angiocrine factors acting on heart regeneration in zebrafish. Outside lab, she spends most of her time with her joyful little girl, helping her exploring life.
